The blade is clamped in the filing guide,

just to pieces of hardened steel with

bolts running through them. From

here we can start filing the bevels

without worrying about removing

In this picture draw filing is shown. The file is moved lengthwise of the blade and gives you the opportunity to file flat or concave.

Here we have the blade with all lines and shapes visible. From here we can start fine tuning the knife by using finer and finer files and sandpaper.
